CV

I edit films and visual experiences with an empathic, personal approach and the energy and mindset of a dancer. In each collaboration, my goal is to find truth in performance and create bold new ways of storytelling. My ambition is to collaborate with both Scandinavian and international storytellers and artists, creating impactful work that connects with audiences worldwide.

Born and raised in the Netherlands in a Dutch-Italian family, I began my creative career in dance and music at the Scapino Ballet Academy. I graduated with a BA in Film Editing from the Netherlands Film Academy in 2005. In 2006 I moved to Athens, Greece, where I worked as an editor on the Greek television drama series "Exo ena Mystiko", directed by Reina Eskinazi. I also served as the first assistant editor under film editor Yiannis Chalkiadakis on three Greek feature films and several shorts. The last film I worked on, "Knifer," directed by Giannis Oikonomides, received seven Hellenic Academy awards, including Best Editing.

Since moving to Copenhagen in the summer of 2009, I have been working as a freelance Film Editor on documentaries, fiction, and drama series. For the hybrid short film "ROQAIA," written and directed by Diana Saqeb Jamal, I had my first experience as Executive/Post Producer and Supervising Editor. "ROQAIA" premiered at the Venice Film Festival in 2019 and has won several awards worldwide, most recently at the Annual Copenhagen Film Festival for Best Short. In 2019, producer/director Esben Halfdan Blaakilde involved me in his personal documentary project "Uønsket," which earned me and the editing team a shortlist nomination for Best Editing for Robert Prisen 2020. My most recent work was alongside Lead Editor Helle le Fevre on the feature film "The Umesh Chronicles," written and directed by Pooja Kaul.

In addition to editing, I have used my leadership and organizational skills to revive Dansk Filmklipperselskab, the Society of Danish Film Editors, where I served as 1st chair from 2014-2021. In 2016, I co-founded and served as a board member of TEMPO, the Federation of Film Editors Organizations, actively engaging from 2016-2023. Through my work with these organizations, I focus on connecting editors worldwide and promoting the profession of film editing by curating international events and masterclasses, both online and offline.
